“Big Ole Freak” is not just an anthem about being sexy, but also about being confident.

The single boosted an interest in the artist, establishing a more mainstream presence for her.
It is the most streamed track from EP Tina Snow.

About the song, in an interview with The Madd Hatta Morning Show, Megan said:

It’s about me being confident in my sexuality, and other women not being scared of being confident.

The track begins by sampling a classic R&B bop titled “Is It Love This Time?” but then picks up into a trap beat. Megan changes her flow a couple of times throughout, increasing speed and switching rhymes, while the sample consistently fades in and out in the background.

A music video for the song was released on 28 February 2019, with a behind the scenes follow-up succeeding two weeks later.

On 15 April, 2019, Big Ole Freak entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it her first ever entry. Megan took to social media to celebrate with her fans. To her Instagram, she posted a screenshot of the official chartdata tweet with the caption:
