Helped by a piano sample taken from Nas' Mafioso-rap classic “Affirmative Action,” Drake claims “Mob Ties” and severs links with people who have betrayed him.

Some of Drake’s OVO associates with criminal pasts include Baka Not Nice and the late Anthony “Fif” Soares. He also has a close relationship with Rap-a-Lot Records founder J. Prince, who was the subject of a 12-year criminal investigation by the DEA. Drake posted the following picture with the aforementioned J. Prince and his affiliates on Instagram on July 5, 2018 with the caption “Ties👔”:

The song seemed to originally feature Travis Scott, hinted in an Instagram post by La Flame himself from back in November 2017.
