Babylon Revisited

Babylon Revisited

F. Scott Fitzgerald

Based upon the experiences had between Fitzgerald and his wife, Zelda, while in Paris–whereupon Fitzgerald often find himself in nasty, drunken brawls and Zelda steadily fell in mental health–“Babylon Revisited” tells the story of a man’s return from exile and his attempt at redemption, as he tries to win back his daughter, but more importantly, himself as he recovers from all the mistakes he’s made across the span of his life. Fitzgerald himself regarded this portrait to be one of his most important stories, a big stepping stone since, during this period, he had written 3 of his most well known novels: The Great Gatsby, This Side of Paradise, and The Beautiful and Damned.
