Mr. Officer was the original name/track off Death Row Records' initial album release “The Chronic.” “The Day the N****z Took Over” ft. Daz, Snoop Dogg & RBX was the final version of the track used for “The Chronic.” Per Wikipedia “"Mr. Officer” (featuring RBX and Prince Ital Joe), the original version of “The Day the Niggaz Took Over”. A song named “Mr. Officer” by Michel'le was included in Suge Knight Represents: Chronic 2000. In 2016, the original song was leaked.“ Listening to the chorus on the original version you quickly realize why the song was changed back in nine-deuce aka ‘92. "Mr. Officer, Mr. Officer I wanna see layin’ in a coffin sir.” Due to public sentiment surrounding such releases as Ice-T’s “Cop Killer,” record companies were under heavy scrutiny. This “left over” early Death Row track finally found a spot in a revised version here when “Chronic 2000” dropped ahead of Dr. Dre’s release back in 1999. This of course caused Dr. Dre to change the title of his album to “2001.” Suge Knight was trolling before it was ever a thing!
