Shortly after the release of Slime Language, Lil Uzi teased a snippet of his verse from “Chanel (Go Get It).” While many assumed it was for a remix meant to be on the deluxe version of Slime Language, Music Mafia revealed that Uzi’s verse was from a demo of the song when they put said demo up for auction on their site in October 2018. The full demo leaked about a month later. Uzi’s verse was presumably replaced by Lil Baby’s verse on the final version as promotion for Drip Harder, but they still kept Gunna’s shout out to Uzi & Slime in his verse.

CashXO later premiered an earlier demo to the song (presumably from before Gunna hopped on) on The Weeknd’s Beats1 Radio channel, Memento Mori, episode 5.
