Following his experimentation with Reggaeton on the Anuel-AA assisted “BEBE,” 6ix9ine returns to his signature screamo rap style for his sixth single of 2018, “STOOPID.”

The song features and pays homage to Brooklyn rapper, Bobby Shmurda, who is currently imprisoned. He is allegedly expected to be released in 2020.

This track marks the first collaboration between Tekashi and the Memphis producer Tay Keith who blew up into the mainstream spotlight with placements on “Look Alive,” “SICKO MODE,” “Nonstop,” and “Not Alike.”

The track was first previewed on 6ix9ine’s Instagram on September 6th, 2018 in a snippet video of him dancing and lip-syncing to the song, and quickly made headines for bars interpolating Chief Keef’s “Faneto” while also dissing the Chicago Drill legend.
