Electrolite

Electrolite

R.E.M.

The closing track on 1996’s New Adventures in Hi-Fi, Electrolite is a love song for the City of Angels and the 20th century.

Michael Stipe said in an interview that he had to be coaxed by Peter Buck and Mike Mills to include the song on the album, but since then it has become one of his favorite R.E.M songs. Thom Yorke also likes the song, seeing as he and his band Radiohead have covered it live as an intro to their song Everything In Its Right Place.
