“Soaked” is Benee’s second single, written earlier in the year with her producer Josh Fountain (and his bandmate Djeisan Suskov), who discovered her in 2017.

When asked by NZ Musician what she wanted listeners to take away from the song, Benee said:

Just a feeling of relating to a situation. I hope that people can kinda feel like they aren’t the only ones going through this kinda stink situation.
