Rap Skillz is a battle rap league, based in Croatia, encompassing all ex-Yugoslavia countries who, more or less, speak the same language. In September 2018, a battle was set up between the 3-time champion of Rap Skillz – Random from Podgorica (Montenegro) and one of the world’s most famous battle rappers – Dizaster from Los Angeles (CA), in which Random battled in English for the first time. Getting a household’s name such as Dizaster to come and battle in Croatia represented a huge feat for this organization, leaving a long-lasting impact for hip hop and battle rap culture in this region.
