“SICKO MODE (Skrillex Remix)” was first played on Skrillex’s Instagram story on Sep 22, 2018. On Sep 23, 2018, Skrillex would play the song live at Listen Out, Sydney, Australia. The drop was made from Skrillex’s tour manager’s son. Skrillex sampled it and made the drop, and posted it on his Instagram story. On Nov 22nd, 2018, Skrillex would once again preview the song showing off the second version on his story. There are eight demos of the song in total.

On November 27th, 2018 the song was available for purchase on Travis Scott’s website along with a new design for Sicko T-Shirt inspired by the single artwork.
