“Dreams” is the first official release from South Central’s Cozz. It’s also the first song on his freshman album titled Cozz & Effect. The dark and haunting instrumental is produced by Meez.

This single also helped Cozz get signed to J. Cole’s record label, Dreamville. He spoke with HotNewHipHop about his deal and how it felt to get signed:

It is. I’m still taking it in. It’s still brand new for me, the fact that I’ve never dropped nothing else, and like you said, Cole digs it. It’s crazy.
