All Out Life

All Out Life

Slipknot

“All Out Life” is a song bashing the music industry. It’s a single which was not included in Slipknot’s Iowa levels of heavy” sixth studio album called We Are Not Your Kind, something that everyone expected. On the track, the band criticizes the recent trend of thinking that any ‘old music’ is depreciable, without considering its importance in forming out the music of the moment. As Corey Taylor said to Metal Sucks:

It’s like, I love new music, but at the same time, don’t turn your back on the music that’s been.

Regarding instrumentality, the song has an electronic intro, followed by a heavy guitar riff and, finally joined Corey’s gutturals. The sound is completely different from their 2014 album, .5: The Gray Chapter; instead, the sonority reminisces old albums such as Iowa and Slipknot.
