“More Than That” is the second solo single by singer-songwriter Lauren Jauregui. She first performed this track at MTV Elections Afterparty. The song was released on January 11, 2019, and the music video one week later. In a livestream on Instagram, Lauren revealed that she wrote “More Than That” about 2 or 3 years ago. The song isn’t necessarily based on a real story though.

Backed by 808-tinged production from Murda Beatz & Charlie Handsome, the track finds Lauren singing to admiring onlookers that they have to “come stronger than this liquor” and “be more convincing” if they “wanna take [her] home”.
