The song was first announced via an Instagram post on November 14th, 2018 revealing a short clip of the song featuring Taggart. They officially announced the song on the 15th in an Instagram post teasing the song as well as showcasing the cover art.

The song is both a stylistic and lyrical return to form for the duo, after a series of singles that diverged from their established sound. In addition, the song’s light-hearted lyrical tone stands in contrast to the darker and more introspective themes of the year’s earlier songs such as “Sick Boy” and “Siren”.
