Sub Urban

In “Cradles,” Sub Urban takes us into his fantasy world in which adults are free to act and speak as they like. He compares this to the ways of innocent children who haven’t learned to mask their true identities. Reflecting on the reality of adulthood, he notes that we carry an unspoken obligation to mask ourselves. Lest we come across as rude, brash, or even crazy, we filter our true thoughts before speaking aloud and suppress our desires instead of acting them out.
