“Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)” is a song by American country music singer Alan Jackson, released as the lead single from his tenth studio album, Drive.

This song is about and in memorial to those who died in the September 11, 2001 attacks. The World Trade Center in New York, and the Pentagon in Washington DC were struck by hijacked commercial airliners, killing at least 3,000 people.
