“Don’t Stop” was released as the second single from 5 Seconds Of Summer’s eponymous debut album.

Despite being their only song to miss the top forty in the US (it reached #46), it performed successfully in other countries, reaching #2 in the UK and topping the charts in Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, and Ukraine. It also reached #3 in Australia.

This uptempo track is a bright, punk-influenced rock song and draws influence from bands such as The Cars and Green Day.

The band stated:

“Don’t Stop” is like the party song – it’s something you can dance to or turn up loud in your car. It’s basically about the girl that everyone wants at a party.
