“Ground Zero” is the fifth track off of Chris Cornell’s third studio album, “Scream”, produced by Cornell, Timbaland and J-Roc, written by Cornell and Jim BEANZ.
Cornell described the song as “getting over the shitty, shitty horror of 9/11, and wanting to hate, and stomp people’s fucking faces in. It always ends up being for the wrong reasons, and then thinking about how we can try and figure out a way to make our world better instead of stupider.”
A music video was made using clips from the ABC show, “Life on Mars” was made, and the song was also used in commercials to promote the show.
