The song delivers two themes of one being the narrator writing this as a tribute to a breakup, or the narrator writing this to address his lover because of upcoming death.

“death bed (coffee for your head)” was first released on February 9, 2019, to all streaming services, but eventually taken down due to Powfu using an unauthorized sample. It was re-released a year later on February 7, 2020, to all streaming platforms. It gained popularity after being featured in many videos on the video platform TikTok.
