What initially seems like yet another Saturday Night Live sketch set in a restaurant takes an unexpected turn when a customer (Pete Davidson) orders the lobster special in a diner. From there, the sketch turns into a full-blown parody of Les Misérables, with the lobster dressed as Jean Valjean (Kenan Thompson) singing a Broadway ballad in the face of death joined by his daughter Clawsette (Kate McKinnon), the waiter (John Mulaney), the cook (Cecily Strong), and a bunch of 19th-century French peasants who come from nowhere.
