Hurricane G started out signed in 1994 to Capitol Records. She found herself as one of the people cut from the label when Capitol decided to downsize. When she met Jellybean Benitez, he signed her and produced her album. The song, “All The Way Live,” emphasized her capabilities as a woman and what she could bring to the table compared to other emcees. The chorus hits on the idea that she is “slept on,” but once people least expect it she will become something great.
