Unlike the original studio version, the Live PCPPEP version of Bar-B-Q Pope has Gibby Haynes doing some pretend golf commentary (possibly recorded later) before Paul Leary comes in for each verse.
Removing the centre channel of the mix in a program such as Audacity takes away most of the noise that makes Haynes’s voice hard to hear, allowing for the near complete transcription above.

Haynes does name real golfers that were still active in 1984 but was probably making the events up, as Don January, Julius Boros and Arnold Palmer were generally only competing in senior golf tours by that time.
