Death Letter

Death Letter

The White Stripes

“Death Letter” is a cover of a song of the same name from 1965 by Delta blues musician Son House.

The White Stripes singer Jack White has always been a fan of Son House. In the documentary It Might Get Loud, White cited Son House’s a capalla song “Grinnin' In Your Face” as his favorite song ever. The White Stripes even dedicated their eponymous debut LP to him.
