“1,2,3,4” (sometimes subtitled “I Love You”) was released in December of 2008 to universal acclaim. It was featured on Plain White T’s sophomore album Big Bad World and was certified 2X Platinum.

Its lyrical themes explore a positive relationship from the vantage of one of its members. Over the course of its two verses it realistically chronicles the ups and downs many young couples face.

Set against a lush instrumental backdrop, the song features boyish, pitch-perfect male vocals and a surging chord progression anchored by a lightly-strummed acoustic guitar.
