The Whole Damn World Is Going Crazy

The Whole Damn World Is Going Crazy

John Gary Williams

“The Whole Damn World Is Going Crazy” is the eighth and last track from John Gary Williams' self-titled debut and only album, released on March 1973 by Stax Records.

Apart from his work with The Mad Lads, this is Williams' best-known song, as it’s a poetical and beautiful reflection on the evil that dominated the world at the time (and still tries to dominate), in the form of political and social turmoil, especially because of the final phases of the Vietnam War and of the Watergate scandal, which made the American president Richard Nixon leave the White House.

Even after such a long time, John’s message is still relevant and incredibly useful in order to remind us of keeping the values of peace and love in his community.
