“A Who New World” is a single performed by Isyana and Gamaliel, that serves as a soundtrack for Walt Disney Indonesia’s movie, Aladdin. The song depicts the idea of discovering a new world after falling in love.

Initially, Disney told the artists separately that they will be working on a duet song without revealing who they would be collaborating with. In an interview with tribunnews, they revealed that it was on the spur of the moment, as soon as they got the offer they accepted it, without knowing who their duet partner would be. In the same interview they also said:

So, when I got the opportunity to be on this song, I wasn’t like ‘oh what if I messed it up’, I immediately was like ‘Okay!’ even though I don’t know who I will sing the duet with.

Isyana:

Well, yes, at the time we didn’t know who we will sing it with or what song it will be. But when I was asked ‘Do you want to sing A Whole New World?’ I immediately said yes.
