“Heart on Ice” is a single for Rod Wave’s fourth studio album, PTSD. Over a melodic piano beat, produced by SpeakerBangerz, Rod raps about his inability to open up to others, how his past memories still haunt him, and how he is wishing for something better.

The song blew up in part due to Rod performance of the song on Genius' Open Mic session. The video garnered over 17 million views and provided a boost to his career. The remix of the song, featuring Lil Durk, was released on September 27, 2019, as a promotional single for Rod’s fifth album Ghetto Gospel.
