All My Friends

All My Friends

Madeon

“All My Friends” is the lead single from Madeon’s second studio album, suspected to be titled Good Faith.

The song was teased on May 28, 2019 when Madeon started to change his social media profile pictures to feature a neon gradient aesthetic. Later that day, he posted a tweet with the link “goodfaith.world” to indicate a new era of music is coming.

The site featured the text: “HEY / I MISSED YOU / THIS IS THE START / OF THE GOOD FAITH ERA // TOMORROW MORNING / I’LL PUT A SONG / IN THE REAL WORLD ONLY // THEN EVERYWHERE FRIDAY // COME BACK HERE”

The next morning, Madeon posted a teaser titled “FOUR CITIES” that directed them to Los Angeles, New York City, Alesund, and Nantes to find record stores playing the new single in the real world on vinyl. Fans who live in those cities got to listen to the single while in the store and a few lucky fans got to take the 7" vinyl home with them as well.

The song was released on all platforms on May 31, 2019.

Madeon began working on “All My Friends” when he booked a studio for three days in New York “just to see what would happen,” he says.

“I remember I was walking alone, and the sun was a particular shade. It struck me all at once, vividly. It was like a flavor: sounds and sights and smells. I felt impossibly confident and enthusiastic, and the song became like a premonition of what I had to do.”
