After weeks of teasing on Sam’s social media sites, this song was released on July 19th 2019. Sam said that they wanted to move on from heartbreak ballads, commenting in a press release:

The song is characterised by a hypnotic beat and danceable rhythm. The melody has features of Sam’s style, notably showcasing their vocal range and the distinctive timbre of their voice. The lyric, however, is of heartache and resentment – a story typical of Sam.

The accompanying music video also marks a departure, in that it features Sam’s considerable dancing skills; an unexpected surprise.
