“BO$$” is the second track and lead single of Fifth Harmony’s debut album, Reflection. The song serves as a feminist anthem, encouraging young girls to be independent and mentions successful women such as Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama. The official music video was released on July 7, 2014.

As many fans noted, Dinah didn’t have a solo part on this song. According to her, it was because the producers felt her voice wasn’t suited for pop. This also happened in 5H’s following single, “Sledgehammer”.

Fifth Harmony promoted a self-esteem campaign with DoSomething.org called #ImABoss. According to Ally:

We believe that everyone is the boss of something. The #ImABoss campaign is exactly in line with our new single “BO$$” because it’s all about owning and sharing what makes you confident and strong.

“BO$$” peaked at number 43 on US Billboard Hot 100. It was also certified Platinum in the US.
