The fourth single from blink-182’s 8^th studio album, “Darkside” is similar in meaning to fellow Californian single “She’s Out Of Her Mind”. The track tells the story of a guy who fell in love with a girl that has a dark side. Nevertheless, regardless of her ways, he will go join the dark side with her so they can do the things she loves together.

Considering the fact that Mark Hoppus talked a lot about depression leading up to the album, ‘dark side’ might be referring to depression. In that context, the song takes on another meaning beneath the superficial and tells the story of the struggles of supporting a person going through depression.
