“Emotions” is the first single from Cashmere Cat’s long-awaited sophomore album, Princess Catgirl. The track was first announced on August 5th, 2019, in an Instagram post, along with the titular character’s 3D model.

It features uncredited vocals from Tove Styrke, and the outro features sampled vocals from Bibio’s “The Way You Talk”.

In an official Reddit AMA, Cashmere Cat said that he and Styrke had known one other for a long time, and that she was “one of the first artists I met when [he] started doing music.”
