“Jopping,” a combination of words jumping and popping, is the lead track off SuperM’s self-titled debut EP.

The song features heavy electro-pop influences with references to brit-pop sounds. The song uses cinematic-style horns and a groovy beat. A fusion of pop-rock, R&B, and hip-hop genres can be heard in the vocal and rap talents of each member.

The track was produced by British production duo, LDN Noise who has also worked on songs for members' groups EXO, NCT 127, WayV, and SHINee. The also song revives SM Entertainment’s “SM Music Performance” initiative, a style that blends dramatic choreography with impactful genre-blending sounds.

The song was teased through various still images and videos, starting on September 29th, 2019.
