“Hallucinations” concerns not being able to fully let go of someone and getting caught up in the constant barrage of thoughts about them. Though the song doesn’t specifically mention a breakup, the “hallucinations” mentioned could be interpreted as a mental manifestation of the confusing and lost feelings one might feel after a breakup.

“Hallucinations” was released as the second single from PVRIS' EP of the same name. The band sent 500 flexi disks containing a first listen of the track to fans from all over the world several days before its official release. Address data was collected via a Google Forms document that was shared on the band’s social media accounts on August 5, 2019. Flexi disks started appearing in fans' hands as early as August 9th, 2019.
