“Graveyard” is the second single by Halsey for her third studio album, Manic, following the release of non-album single “Nightmare” in May 2019. The existence of this song as a part of her album as opposed to a stand-alone single is evidenced through the single’s artwork which contains typical typography relating to the album, such as “H3” and “(A)01.”

Leading up to the track’s release, Halsey live-streamed herself painting the cover art for Manic, which was made available for pre-order in conjunction with the release of “Graveyard.”

On September 27, 2019, a vertical video for “Graveyard” was made available to Spotify. Almost a month after the song’s release, Halsey posted a music video for “Graveyard,” featuring Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney.
