“Annaline” was the sole original demo song exclusive to I Am Not This, a limited edition compilation album recorded in 2016 just before the The Glowing Man was released. In 2019, it also appeared on Swans' demo album What Is This for their future upcoming studio album. The audio between the two releases for the track are identical.

There were two other demos which featured on the compilation, “Viragio” and “Purple Creek”. They have appeared on Gira’s “The Milk of M. Gira” but not elsewhere as studio material. It is unknown if they have been incorporated into the other songs on the album.
