In an attempt to continue his push for more personal music and a deeper connection with his fans, Alec’s newest single is a ballad about a past relationship.

Alec talks about all of his favorite memories from a relationship he was in at a young age that he feels ended abruptly. He looks back at the relationship somewhat fondly and at all the things they promised to do while in love, but admits that it’s one of the hardest he’s had to get over.

As he watches his now ex move on and remove him from her life, he remains there, heartbroken and wishing that all of the promises that were made could have happened and gone “into the book”, creating another memory. The hardest part about moving on for him is watching her go on without ever knowing why she left him, once again bringing him back to all of his favorite memories, and the pain that comes without the relationship.
