This love song describes the utter dysphoria that comes with revealing those animalistic parts of yourself, (which may trigger a sense of security, maturity) only to later be rejected. Kaya describes these animalistic urges and noises as a “guttural sound”, and guttural is defined as “articulated in the throat”. The throat is the emotional center of the body. All love energy manifests there. Kaya’s beautiful voice comes from there, as well as her wise words. This song is my favorite on the album.
