“Treat People With Kindness” is a slogan Harry Styles has been using for merchandising since his first solo tour in 2017. At each show, a variety of products featuring the slogan were made available to purchase. Profits from the merchandise sales were given to local charities at each tour stop.

In an October 2019 article, Capital FM noted that the slogan now holds major significance to Styles' fanbase:

The slogan on his merchandise has been widely adopted by fans as a symbol for love, kindness and acceptance.

The full track leaked online a week before the album was released, via fan recordings of the vinyl, which had been sent out early.
