The track’s release was first teased on November 25th, 2019, with Tesfaye posting to his Instagram for the first time since its reactivation, with the caption:

the fall starts tomorrow night

The song was premiered on the seventh episode of The Weeknd’s Beats 1 Radio show, Memento Mori.

The track’s accompanying music video released on December 3, 2019, features an intoxicated Abel gambling and smoking with producer Metro Boomin in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, with blindingly bright lights, Vegas' most memorable feature, surrounding the two artists. The track’s cover art likely comes from the same area given that the background of the cover is similar to the bright cityscape seen in the music video.
