Lil Uzi Vert switches it up on “Futsal Shuffle 2020,” the first official single for his second studio album Eternal Atake, following September 2018 promotional single “New Patek” and April 2019 promotional singles “Sanguine Paradise” and “That’s a Rack.” The track is the first of two bonus tracks on his 2020 album Eternal Atake.

On November 30, 2019, Lil Uzi Vert announced on Twitter that a “dance record” titled “Futsal” would be the album’s lead single. Uzi would subsequently preview the song and the choreography to his “Futsal Shuffle” dance in a separate tweet.

On December 7, 2019, Uzi teased the track again via Twitter, where he revealed that the track was “coming in days.” Five days later, on December 12, 2019, he confirmed the track’s imminent release on December 13 via Twitter:

FUTSAL SHUFFLE TONIGHT !!!!

The track leaked a few hours before it was officially released as a result of Uzi sending it to many of his friends.

The original instrumental and melody was made by Loesoe and Mayyzo and was an instrumental titled “Lover.”

On January 6, 2020, Lil Uzi Vert released accompanying visuals, after teasing it via Twitter. The music video features Lil Uzi and many other people doing the “Futsal Shuffle” dance in different locations.
