“3 Fifs” recounts the lack of progress being made for Black Americans in the wake of the supposed social progress of the past few decades; the rapper notes sadly, it seems the American mindset has never moved past viewing Black people as less than real people, hence the reference to the 3/5 Compromise in the song’s title.

Black people die in America every day, but the only outrage comes from athletes kneeling. Black people have been targeted by presidential administrations for decades, and it continues to act like a “gang” targeting and killing Black communities. Black people protest peacefully or react to authority peacefully, but that doesn’t stop the violence and the killing against them.
