This song was originally supposed to be “Miss Jackson” until the band faced some problems with publishing it. In an interview in 2013 (which the song was played), Brendon Urie said, “We tried to get the publishing cleared and she was not having it man. Like she was so bummed on us. She’s like ‘No I’m not letting that band like sell my stuff.’” A few seconds later in the interview, Brendon called Fiona Apple a bitch which Apple found it “hilarious.” She also said about the song that “…besides the fact that I don’t remember it, so it probably wasn’t that great to me…” Then on August 18, 2018, a fan on YouTube under the name of Animusky released a Bad Apple recreation for everyone to listen to.
