Mrs. Whoever

Saba

After his critically acclaimed second studio album CARE FOR ME from April 2018, Saba is finally back with the rollout for his third project.
“Mrs. Whoever” marks Saba’s first release as primary artist since his December 2018 “Where It’s At” track.
The track was first previewed as a snippet on Saba’s Instagram Live session on January 14, 2020.

On “Mrs. Whoever” Saba raps about why he earned his current spot in the rap game while still dealing with his normal life and avoiding fame rising to his head. Saba dives into struggles regarding his friends, changes, the public and a significant other. The song’s topic share a lot similarities to Saba’s 2018 single “Busy” which worked as the lead single for CARE FOR ME, much like how “Mrs. Whoever” will be for the forthcoming project.

Saba started teasing new music September 15th 2020, in a series of cryptic tweets. With one of them revolving around a rotary phone and phone number.

The phone and number would end up playing a major role in the rollout of “Mrs. Whoever”. On September 16, Saba shared a link to his newly updated website that included a red rotary phone. Saba then asked his fans to crack the code for an early listen of the song. The code would end up being 773, the first three digits of the phone number. Also known as Chicago’s area code, the same place Saba was born and grew up in
