“A Little Good News” topped Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart for a week in December of 1983, becoming her seventh number-one hit on the chart.

It also peaked at #74 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #11 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart. In Canada, it topped the RPM country music chart for a week as well.
