During the 2009-2010 NBA season, the L.A. Lakers advanced to the NBA finals, eventually winning them. This song was recorded before the finals actually took place though. There’s a unofficial Lakers Anthem released every year by Laker fans. It was first aired on an L.A. Rap station called Power 106.
