“영웅 (英雄; Kick It)” is the lead single from NCT 127’s 2nd studio album, Neo Zone. The music video for the song was released ahead of the album’s official release.

The track is a genre-blending anthem boasting powerful lyrics about being a “hero.” The song and its music video is inspired heavily by Chinese martial-arts aesthetics including the use of Chinese characters “英雄” in the song’s title, that translate to “hero.”

NCT 127 name drops several iconic martial arts movies like “Enter The Dragon,” and “Hero.” The song also pays homage to the legendary Hong Kong-American actor and martial artist, Bruce Lee. The song and the choreography also references his iconic martial arts philosophy, Jeet Kune Do.
