“11 O'Clock Friday Night” is track 4 from Hamilton Leithauser’s Black Hours out June 3, 2014. Black Hours is the debut album from the lead singer of the Walkmen. Written by Leithauser and Paul Maroon (also from the Walkmen). Maroon and Leithauser play guitar and organ. Richard Swift of The Shins is on the drumkit. Morgan Henderson (Blood Brothers,Fleet Foxes) plays bass and percussion while Amber Coffman of Dirty Projectors lends backup vocals.

The song, reportedly written in the studio, was built on the marimba riff that opens the piece. It hearkens back to the sound of the Walkmen’s last album Heaven.
