“Dear Patience”, the third song from Heartbreak Weather is all about, of course, patience.

According to an Instagram post by Niall, he wrote the song during a time period where he believed he needed to be more patient.

The song is all about taking things slow in a new, budding relationship, even if you’re wanting to jump right in and consume yourself with the person.

This song and “Heartbreak Weather” were the hardest to write on the album, according to what Niall has said in a tweet :
