Geronimo refers to a word said by people right before jumping off a cliff/sky diving. Cliff diving/Sky Diving is considered a life changing experience, and LIVE captures it in a different sense. The track itself tells the story of a pilot’s spaceship failing and crashing into the atmosphere and it describes the panic felt in his “final moments.” Interpreted differently, LIVE could also be describing a person going through their life and reaching a point where they know they cannot continue living under the same mindset/frame of thought. The crash at the end of the song symbolizes the “death” of that mindset, the track following “To Whoever” describes the person’s “white light” moment where they reflect on their entire life before passing, and also touches on what happens after death, while the rest of the album follows the journey of the pilot after the crash.
